Update For GLD Aug 23rd. 2013

Posted: under Commodities, Predictions, Spiraldate Score Charts.

Here is an update for GLD with the new chart style. Looks like gold may be at high that might be the end of the move up from the June 28th low. Looks like a classic 3 wave zig-zag that subdivides 5-3-5.

S&P 500 Update Aug 22nd, 2013

Posted: under Misc/Admin.

Here is an updated chart for S&P 500 with a couple of new features: future dates are now shown as day of month as well as day of week, and I have added new and full moon indicators (the black and yellow circles above the price bars respectively. As you can see turns have been near new and full moons recently.

Current Elliott Wave counts put us either in wave 4 of the first wave down from the high, or we have completed the first wave down and are tracing a wave ii rally.

If you don’t understand the chart – see the posts here and here .

CORRECTION: August 2013 Spiraldates.com Spiral Calendar Predictions For S&P 500

Unfortunately I discovered an error in the chart I posted For S&P 500 for August 2nd 2013.
There was a missing spiral cluster for Monday August 5th 2013 that was not shown on the chart.
Since this is one day after the top on August 2nd it may be very significant.
The problem was that spiral clusters on the first date in the future on any given date were being ignored and not shown. I have corrected the problem so all future charts that I post will not have this problem. I have also changed the tick marks to M T W Th F which I hope is clearer.

Spiral Calendar Daily Scores For US Stocks For August 2013

Due to popular demand I am posting the old style spiral scores chart for August to compare with the new style chart. As you can see they indicate almost the exact same dates as forecast turn dates. Why are they not identical? The old style chart is based on past highs and lows selected by eyeing a chart so are somewhat subjective. The new style chart has mechanical rules for selecting highs and lows, and as used for the new style August chart picks out a lot more past minor highs and lows than the old style manual method does.

I’m sorry but I don’t have time to post the old style charts in the future. Hopefully the new charts will start making sense – they really are a huge improvement all around.

Here is a chart for GLD showing an imminent triple cluster/possible turn point on Wed-Fri Aug 7th-9th this week. This is a total of 14 spiral calendar alignments from past highs and lows in 3 days.

Spiral Calendar clusters are shown as the red and green vertical lines above and below the price chart on specific dates. Each vertical line also has several red or green numbers that indicate the f-numbers of spirals that originate at a past high or low point in this time series and end at that particular date. There is also a blue number nearest the price bars that shows how many spirals cluster at that date. The decision to make a particular spiral cluster a red (top) or green (bottom) prediction is based on whether or not the daily close is above (red/top) or below (green/bottom) a 5 day moving average of the close plotted as a gray line.

Future predictions for the coming month are shown at the right side of the chart – the gray tick marks indicate trading days and the black tick marks indicating Monday of each week. So the spirals for the next four weeks are shown. The red/green status for these is based on the last available close being above or below the moving average, so it may change as the month progresses and the close goes above or below the moving average.

August 2013 Spiraldates.com Spiral Calendar Predictions For S&P 500

I am changing the chart style to a new Spiral Calendar Indicator drawn using the Amibroker platform.
This offers several advantages: it’s purely mechanical, automated, can be drawn for any index, stock or ETF with sufficient past history to generate spirals, and allows an easy comparison between past predictions and actual market turns. I plan to post only this type of chart going forward.

So the spirals for the next four weeks are shown. The red/green status for these is based on the last available close being above or below the moving average, so it may change as the month progresses and the close goes above or below the moving average.

So for the coming month turns are predicted on Wednesday August 7th, on Tues, Wed, Thurs 13th-15th August, Friday 23rd August, and Wed 28th August. Since the close is above the 5 day MA, they are all plotted as red potential tops.
