Spiral Calendar Update January 30th, 2015 For S&P500

Posted: February 1st, 2015 under Predictions, Spiraldate Score Charts, Stocks.

I had stopped posting spiral calendar charts because I could not see any predictive value beyond mere chance and I am still unconvinced.
However recently the spiral clusters on the S&P 500 daily chart have been matching highs and lows.
Why this is and why they sometimes work and sometimes don’t is a mystery.

S&P500 Spiral Calendar Chart For January 30th, 2015

All the recent lows in August, October and December as well as this months lows on January 6th and 15th approximately are marked by spiral clusters.
Also each of the highs in July, Septemeber, early and late December and recently on January 22nd are marked by a spiral cluster within a day. The high on January 9th actually has a cluster of only 3 aligned spirals, one less than the threshold setting of 4 required to appear on this chart.

Going forward, there is no cluster at the January 30th low shown on the first chart, however if we set the threshold lower, to clusters of 3 or more spirals instead of 4, there are actually several clusters aligning now as seen in the second chart. This implies we may see a short term low here.
A consensus Elliott Wave view is that we may have made the top of the rally from March 2009 on December 29th, 2014 and are presently in a small degree wave 2 flat correction prior to the first steep decline in a new bear market. So possibly a rally next week that would be wave C of 2 followed by a lower high than December 29th and then a sharp sell off.
